Gaïa pants/shorts - PDF or Paper Sewing Pattern
Gaïa is a pair of loose-fitting pants or shorts with clean lines, as trendy as they are elegant . To sew it without difficulty, we will accompany you with two videos (link to be found in the booklet): a detailed step-by-step (coming soon on our YouTube channel) + a mini-course dedicated to basic adjustments of pants. Supplies needed :
- FABRIC shorts version (with simple hem or with cuff) (in 140 cm width) : Size 34: 90 cm / Size 40: 1m10 / Size 46: 1m10 / Size 52: 1m20
- FABRIC trouser version (140 cm width): Size 34: 2m / Size 40: 2m30 / Size 46: 2m30 / Size 52: 2m40
- Matching thread
- Lining for pockets and bias: 35 x 140 cm
- 1 non-separable 15 cm zipper
- 1cm wide straight-grain iron-on tape (optional)
- Iron-on
- 1 button between 2 and 3 cm in diameter
Recommended fabrics :
Depending on the style you want, you can choose fabrics that are more or less fluid, more or less thick:
- For a structured style, we recommend fabrics that hold together, such as gabardine, denim, twill, etc.
- For a looser style, rather fluid fabrics like tencel, viscose, velvet, etc.
- For the pockets: fine to medium fabric (poplin-type cotton)
