Lined Dune jacket tuto (pieces for free download)
Dune is our pretty short jacket, a model a little loose but not too much, which gets along wonderfully with the most beautiful jacquards.
We had created it for the beautiful days but we wanted to be able to wear it all year round. We had the fabric, all we needed was a lining to make it a must-have in our fall wardrobe.
Good news if, like us, you are a little bit cold, we offer you the lining pieces (graded from 34 to 46) and we give you all the useful information to make it. If you don't have it yetpattern, you can find it here.
Little advice before cutting the pieces: don't hesitate to sew Dune one size above your usual size, to compensate for the addition of the lining and to be able to wear it with your biggest sweaters.
Be careful, the lining has an impact on certain assembly steps:
- If you chose option B with slide, you will have to fix the slide on the right side of the jacket before assembling the lining (not at the end as shown in the booklet).
When you have completed the first 6 steps of the jacket assembly (see booklet), do not sew the sleeves on the open jacket, put them aside instead, you will put them at the very end on the body of the lined jacket. Close the sides of the jacket and thread the seam allowances. Then follow our video tutorial on how to make the lining.
You now have all the information you need to make a lined Dune jacket for this fall. And if like us you like this beautiful jacquard by Studio Walkie Talkie, you can find it on the e-shop in our sewing kit.
Good sewing and see you soon on the blog!
